Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working closely with the Service Manager,  Your main duties and responsibilities will be getting &amp;#39;hand on&amp;#39; with a number of Engineering Projects including short notice breakdowns, Re-fits, Installation, commissioning and upgrades on a wide variety of Marine / Naval based projects.
- Whilst not carrying on-board engineering activities you will be required to work from the office to prepare relevant documentation, planning and resourcing activities in order for you to carry out future and on-going projects.
- You will be involved very heavily with different marine / naval projects and very much a key member within the team.
- Liaising with colleagues, customers and customers.
- Willingness to travel and work abroad, often at short notice, is essential.
- Ability to understand and interpret electrical drawings.

Applicant Requirements:
- The successful candidate must be a multi skilled engineer with an electrical bias.
- You must hold an electrical qualification i.e HNC / HND or equivalent and have a strong electrical engineering background within industrial or marine applications.
- Understanding of PLC controls.
- Working background within electrical power distribution / PLC controlled mechanical handling. i.e. weapons lift, aircraft lift etc.
- Excellent interpersonal skills as you will be dealing directly with customers.
- Proven Marine background within Installation, Breakdown repair, fault finding, diagnosis and commissioning engineering projects on marine handling / lifting equipment.
- The post demands a good understanding of hydraulic equipment for a marine environment including, Pumps, Motors, Propulsion systems and other auxiliary equipment. 
- To compliment a flexible approach, the successful candidate will be resourceful and capable of solving problems through direct contact with the customer.

THE CLIENT: This highly reputable market leading company are looking to recruit an experienced UK Sales Manager to strengthen their existing sales team. The company specialise in the supply of a variety of engineering and defence products and services to the Aerospace &amp; Defence sector and provide a complete solution from the initial design through to the maintenance of equipment. Due to continued growth they now seek a Sales Manager to look after the existing clients and grow the area.

THE ROLE: You will be tasked with looking after the existing account base, conducting proposals, leading sales campaigns and developing new opportunities within their chosen sector. Clients include the MOD, Royal Navy and Naval Contractors amongst others. Previous sales experience in an engineering environment is essential, with preference given to candidates with a working knowledge of the existing client base. Ideally you will already be selling within these sectors and able to bring a wealth of knowledge of current operating systems and culture. This is a direct sales role therefore you will carry a personal target and be expected to travel throughout the UK. Candidate must be either based within the Scotland or Bristol areas. 

THE PACKAGE:
Basic Salary - &#163;50,000 - &#163;55,000
