Plant General Manager

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Plant Manager to join and lead a pioneering renewable energy facility operating at the forefront of low-carbon technology and sustainable energy generation.\n\nAs Plant Manager, you will oversee the successful operation of the plant, driving safety, efficiency, technical performance and commercial success. Working closely with the Board of Directors, you will play a key role in shaping the future growth and direction of the business while building a high-performing operational team.\n\nWe are looking for a commercially aware and technically capable leader with experience managing operations within an industrial, processing or technical environment.\n\nWhat you'll be doing:\n\nLead the day-to-day operation of the plant, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant performance.\nDevelop and maintain operational procedures, performance standards and health & safety practices.\nManage, develop and support operational staff, fostering a strong safety culture and positive team environment.\nOversee supplier, contractor and customer relationships to ensure high standards of delivery and service.\nSupport commercial growth by identifying new opportunities and maintaining strong stakeholder partnerships.\nEnsure accurate operational, financial and compliance reporting to the Board.\nRepresent the business professionally with partners, regulators and industry stakeholders.Essential Skills & Experience:\n\nManagement experience within an operational, industrial or processing environment.\nStrong understanding of health & safety and regulatory compliance.\nExperience managing teams, contractors and operational performance.\nCommercial awareness with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication, leadership and relationship-building abilities.Desirable\n\nExperience within renewable energy, environmental, waste or industrial sectors.\nKnowledge of plant operations, thermal processing technologies or regulated environments.\nExperience with accreditations, certification schemes or sustainability projects.Salary: £42,000 - £47,000 per annum\n Location: Warrington\n Hours: Full-time, flexible hours with some on-call requirements\n Reporting to: Board of Directors\n\nBenefits will include an excellent pension (7% employer contribution) & 24 days holiday - increasing to a max of 29 days for each year worked)
